DETRITUS 2016
Detritus, derived from the Latin word "detrītus," meaning "worn away," is the result of the decomposition of a solid mass into particles. When something is lost, it's not truly lost; it's just no longer visible, no longer known where it is... But it remains there, even though it no longer plays a part in life.
How could one record a dream? This is undoubtedly a concept that has been pondered by many, but how can it be achieved in images, when closed eyes are still looking?
If sleeping is in some way a change of state, then perhaps dreaming involves losing oneself a little, as when a person wakes up, they often don't know or remember where they were during the night or nap. The person believes they are present, but they are somewhere else. Everything is transitioning into detritus, changing places, transforming, and becoming something else.
Detrito o detritus (del latín detrītus, "desgastado") es el resultado de la descomposición de una masa sólida en partículas. Cuando se pierde algo, en realidad no se puede perder, sólo se deja de ver, de saber dónde está... Pero sigue ahí aunque ya no forme parte de la vida.
¿Cómo se podría grabar un sueño? No hay duda que ésta es una empresa pensada por varios pero, ¿cómo lograrlo en imágenes, cuando los ojos cerrados miran?
Si dormir es de alguna manera cambiar de estado, soñar consiste quizá en perderse un poco, pues cuando la persona despierta, muchas veces no sabe o no recuerda dónde estuvo durante la noche o la siesta. La persona cree que está, pero está en otra parte. Todo está en transición al detrito, a cambiar de lugar, a transformarse y convertirse en otra cosa...
